Novice A Terriers Win a Pair
The Millwood Logistics Novice A Orillia Terriers recently improved their league record to 4-2 on the season with a pair of victories.

On Saturday the Terriers visited the Newmarket Redmen, and despite running into some penalty trouble and a hot Newmarket goaltender, the Terriers managed to steal a 1-0 win on a goal by Ridley Tucker with only 82 seconds left on the clock.  Some strong team defence kept Newmarket’s scoring chances to a minimum to help Carter Oakley record his second shutout of the season.  Aiden MacDonald had the lone assist for the Terriers.

The Terriers hosted the Markham Waxers on Monday night, and they put together a strong effort at both ends of the ice.  Orillia jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the end of the first period, and they didn’t look back finishing off the Waxers by a final score of 8-3.  Carter Balkwill lit up the score sheet for Orillia, with a huge 5-goal night and adding an assist for good measure.  Cooper Long sniped his second goal of the season from the point and added a pair of assists for a 3-point night, and Jesse Mole had a 3-point night of his own with 3 assists.  Other point getters for the Terriers included Ridley Tucker and Tyler Colebrook, each with a goal and an assist, and single assists went to Kaden Noble, Colsen Maracle and Will Timpano.  Carter Oakley showed he can do it all by earning the win in goal for Orillia and also adding an assist on the score sheet.

The Terriers’ will face the South Muskoka Bears for an exhibition game this Friday at Rotary Place, and then they will take on the undefeated Barrie Colts in league play on Tuesday, October 15 at 6:50 pm at Brian Orser Arena.
