Orillia Minor Bantam Terriers leave Richmond Hill Seeing Stars
The Rama First Nation Minor Bantam Terriers have advanced to Ontario Minor Hockey Association Semi-Finals round as they rolled over the Richmond Hill Stars in three straight games to improve to 6-0 in playoffs this year.  

After completely shutting out the Nobleking Knights in round one 13-0, the Orillia skaters outscored the Stars by a total of 9-2 for a combined 22-2 goals for/against record in the first two rounds.

The Terriers won the opening game 4-1, with Logan Matthews taking the win in net. Conner White opened the scoring on a pass from Brody Tracey. White and Tracey hit the score sheet again assisting on Ty Gysbers’ second Terrier goal. Tracey rounded out a strong four point game by scoring the Terrier third and fourth goals on assists from Jacob Dewey (2) and Zac Bell.
  
In Richmond Hill for game 2, Nick Raseta backstopped the Terriers to a tight 2-1 win. Scott Adams got Orillia on the board on passes from Colten Macdonald and Gysbers, while Tracey got the winning goal on passes from Jared Dewey and Gysbers with his second assist.
  
In the series clincher at home, Terriers ended the Stars’ OMHA play down by winning 3-0. Gysbers led the way with two goals from huge blasts from the blue line and adding an assist to Bell’s third Terrier goal. Bell also chipped in an assist. Jared Dewey (2) and White had the other helpers.  Logan Matthews had the shutout in net.

 

Next up the team will play the winner of the Kingston/Port Perry series with a ticket to the OMHA Championship Finals.
