Terriers Claim Caledonia Challenge Cup
The Orillia Jim Wilson Peewee AE Terriers captured the challenge cup title in Caledonia this past weekend. In game 1 Orillia was able to shut out a very determined Woolwich Wildcat squad 3 to 0 with Owen Kaczanowski picking up the shutout and superb defense led by Tyler Fountain, Avery Thurston and Thomas West. Goal scorers were Cole Rasmussen, Ian Mihalik, and Ryan Lenner with Brett Jeffels, Colton Woolhouse, and Devin Bolyea getting helpers.

Game 2 it was Lucas Mackeys turn for a shut out with a 5 to 0 victory over Glambrook Rangers, more excellent defense turned in by Alec Ball, and Luke Sallows and the offense lead by Ian Mihalik 2 goals Brett Jeffels a goal and assist, Ryan Lenner 1 goal and Davyn Oxby 1 goal, with assist going to Devin Bolyea, Tyler Fountain, Cole Rasmussen, and Colton Woolhouse.
 
Game 3 was a dominant win over the Merriton Bulldogs 8 to 1 with the offense taking over with Ryan Lenner netting the hat trick, Owen Lawlor, Aydan Madigan, Davyn Oxby, Brett Jeffels, and Alec Ball. Picking up helpers were Thomas West (2), Devin Bolyea(2), Ian Mihalik, Colton Woolhouse, Ryan Lenner, Alec Ball, Brett Jeffels, Cole Rasmussen, Luke Sallows, and Avery Thurston.
 
Entering the semi-finals, the competition started to get s little tighter after Lincoln Blades opened the scoring Mackey made some big saves until the offense got it going in a 6 to 3 final come from behind win. This time it was Colton Woolhouse with the hat trick Ryan Lenner with two and Cole Rasmussen with the equalizer, assists going to Woolhouse(2) , Jeffels, Rasmussen, and Ball.
 
In the final Orillia faced Woolwich again, who were fresh off a shootout win and eager for an Orillia game 1 rematch.   With the visitors scoring early, Kaczanowski wouldn't allow another goal in a hard fought 3 to 1 victory more excellent defense and timely goals by Devin Bolyea, and Brett Jeffels with two including an empty netter in the last minute to put a bow on a hard fought game.
 
Although missing injured forward Carson Bussieres,  Orillia managed to score 24 goals in the tourney and a combination of strong defense and superb goaltending allowed only 5 goals in the 5 games.
