Electric Start for Novice AE Terriers (Submitted by Katie Pritchard)
With 8 games under their belt, the Millwood Logistics Novice AE Orillia Terriers are leading their York Simcoe Division, 6-1-1.  Starting their season in front of a home-town crowd, the boys put on quite a display, winning  5-1 to the Stouffville Clippers.    With one win down, the team took to the 400 the next day, to take on the Barrie Colts. It was a tight 1st period, but the boys came out flying in the 2nd and scored 2 goals to take the lead and the win.  With the great passing, hard skating, awesome goalie saves, and a positive attitude  - this hockey team is a joy to watch!

Bringing it back home at the beginning of October, the boys tied 1-1 to the visiting Aurora Tigers.   A late game on Thursday night had the boys facing a solid TNT team, who were undefeated.  They played strong but came up with their first loss of the season, losing 5-0.  But this did not deflate them.   They came out strong that weekend downing Aurora 3-0 and Stouffville 8-2.  Facing off at the Sutton Arena vs the Georgina Blaze was a slow start with no scoring in the 1st period.  Then, the Terriers started to light it up, walking away with a 4-1 win.  Great playing by the boys between the pipes!

Back at home the boys faced Georgina Blaze and continued to play strong and dominate the game, coming up with a 9-0 victory, recording the third shutout for our Goal Tenders, Ethan Yateman and Cole Eckstein.

Reviewing the score sheets this season has been a complete team effort.  The boys are playing strong and continue to put 100% out there every game.  Offensive contributions were from Adam Trumble, Austin McCrackin, Evan King, Julian White, Kieran Pritchard, Tyler Cormier, Gordon Allen and  Zach Clarke.  Defensively, the group of Aiden Lewis, Caleb Sawyer, Carter Torkoff, Evan Feltis, Jacob Hazel and Mason Taylor-Wood has been extremely solid.
