The Orillia Terriers Rama First Nations Minor
Bantam A team started their season on a positive note earning three out of four
wins to start the campaign.
To begin the season, the Terriers played a home and home series against the Markham Waxers. In the first game, the Terriers skated off with a 4-1 win on the strength of solid defence and scoring by Bradley Adams (1g, 1a), Will Mullen, (1g, 1a), Owen Buckland (1g, 1a), Jack Marwick (1g), and Aaron Zurawski. In the return match, the Terriers lit up the goal light with a convincing 9-1 victory. Scoring for the Terriers were Jesse Ashkewe (2g, 2a), Cole Rasmussen (1g, 2a), Austin Sawyer (2g), Jayden Murison (1g, 1a), Zurawski (1g, 1a), Cole Silverthorn (1g), Nolan MacNeal (1g), Buckland (2a), Isabela Fleguel (1a), Mullen (1a), Aiden Colebrook (1a). Following this win, the Terriers faced off against the East Gwillimbury Eagles. Once again, strong defensive play and lots of scoring helped the Terriers to a 9-0 win. Earning the shutout was Teddy McCollum-Kuntz. Hitting the scoresheet were Sawyer (3 g, 2a), Zurawski (2g), Buckland (1g, 1a), Marwick (1g), Adams (1g, 1a), Thomas Bovett (1g), Mullen (3a), MacNeal (1a). In their final game of the week, the Terriers encountered a strong Barrie Colts team that applied pressure throughout the game, limiting the Terriers scoring opportunities which left the Terriers falling short in a 4-2 loss to the Colts. Finding the net in this game were Colebrook (1g,1a), Mullen (1g) and Marwick (1a).
