After an impressive 24-1-3 regular season record solidified first place in the league, the Orillia Terriers Novice A Moonstone Mechanical team took to the ice for the first playoff round against the Newmarket Redman.

With the Redmen back in town for Game 3, the Terriers looked to close out the series. The Terriers had many chances in the first period but the Newmarket goalie was on his game. In the second, Orillia opened the scoring on a goal from May, with assists to Inglis and Sharland. Scott increased the Terrier lead to 2-0 on a pass from McKay and Long.  Going into the third period with a 2 goal lead, the Terriers defensive and offensive game kicked into high gear.  The Terriers put 4 more pucks in the net, on goals by North, Inglis, Black and Shellswell. Assists went to Sharland(2), Mc Kay (2), Inglis, Long, May, Cook and Shellswell.  Gunner Wolfe and Sam Weaver denied Newmarket in between the pipes, to help the Terriers win the game 6-0 and take the series.-Trisha Scott
