Terriers set to take on Oro for Georgian Bay Title
The C.C. Tatham & Associates Ltd. Orillia Bantam AE Terriers have their sights set on the Georgian Bay Championship as they go head to head against the Oro Thunder in a best 3 out of 5 series.

The Highway 11 series will kick off tonight in Orillia at Rotary place with puck drop at 6:50pm.  The series will then return to Oro for games 2 & 3.  The full series schedule is as follows...

GAME 1: Monday, Mar. 18 at Rotary Place, Blue Rink (6:50 PM)
GAME 2: Thursday, Mar. 21 in Oro (7:30 PM)
GAME 3: Sunday, Mar. 24 in Oro (7:30 PM)
GAME 4: Wednesday, Mar. 27 at Rotary Place, Blue Rink (7:30 PM), if necessary
GAME 5: Sunday, Mar. 31 in Oro (7:30 PM), if necessary

After putting together an impressive 14-5-1 record in league play the Terriers finished 2nd to Penetang in the Georgian Bay Group C standings.  Because of their high regular season finish the team was moved up to Group B for the playoff rounds against teams from Oro, Wasaga Beach, Flesherton, Stayner and Penetang.  After a series of head-to-head round-robin games against these group B teams the Terriers 3-2-1 record gave them a 2nd place finish and a trip to the Championship.  Oro topped the playoff round robin at 4-0-2 to get top seed and home ice advantage against the Terriers.  In round robin play the Thunder and Terriers fought to a 2-2 tie in there only meeting this season.

In other playoff action for the Terriers this season the team competed in the OMHA playdowns taking the York Simcoe series in an easy 3 game sweep vs. Innisfil Winterhawks.  The team then headed to the OMHA quarter-final against the Clarington Toros but lost all three games.

The team is looking forward to what should be an evenly matched series against the rival Oro Thunder to close out the 2018/19 season.
