Information on Tryouts with Orillia Minor Hockey
for NRP’s (Non Resident Players including Goalies)

Minor Peewee age and Older

For those minor peewee and older players from other centres who can establish that Orillia Minor Hockey is the closest “A” centre to their residence the following is what is required to attend Orillia Minor Hockey Tryouts.

1) You must attend your home centre and pre-register requesting a Non Resident Player Passport. Your home centre will verify the player’s eligibility by age and residency. Your home centre will retain the top copy of the Passport and you will bring the bottom copy to tryouts.

2) Visit the Orillia Minor Hockey website at to determine dates and times of tryouts.

3) Upon arriving to the first tryout visit the Orillia Minor hockey office which is located through the main doors of Rotary Place to the left (beside rock climbing wall). It is there that you will present the Non Resident Player Passport and pay the tryout fee – at which time you will be given a receipt that you will present to the team prior to participating in tryouts. Only available at the first Tryout. If you cannot make the first Tryout please contact the hockey office prior to Tryouts to make other arrangements.
(Tryout Fees will be established in June - check back to the website at that time)

4) Should the player make a minor or major team payment would be due at the time of signing the Player Commitment Form.  Payment can be made in the form of cash, certified cheque or money order.

Should you have any further questions around the NRP rule or passport contact the hockey office
at 705-326-6642.

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to seeing you at Tryouts!
