Welcome to the 2023-24 Orillia Minor Hockey Season! We hope everyone is enjoying the start to summer. Here is a quick update for the upcoming season.
Registration for the 2023-24 season for House League, Rep and our Mytes program are open.
Registration will remain open until September 10th, 2023. Program spaces are limited.
Rep player evaluation (tryout) registration for U10-U16 will close August 11th.
Rep player evaluation (tryout) registration for U9MD and U18 will close August 25th.
Registration will be online through our Online Store in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR). The registration link can be found here: https://page.hockeycanada.ca/page/hc/ohf/ontario-minor-hockey-association/region-4-p/orillia/participant/1ee15060-f683-68c2-92ca-06bba40fa00c
Please ensure that when you are registering your information in your HCR profile is up to date and correct as this will help us to be able to get in touch with you if needed.
All new members need to upload a copy of your driver’s license to your child’s HCR profile in order for the OMHA to confirm your address in the HCR system. You must also complete the Respect in Sport parent course and ensure that a copy is attached to all the HCR profile of all of your registered children. Respect in Sport for Hockey Canada Parents - Getting Started (respectgroupinc.com) Instructions on how to complete this and attach it to an HCR profile are attached. If these steps are not completed, your child will not be added to a roster.
Anyone hoping to coach or help out as bench staff must also complete the Respect in Sport course for Activity Leaders.
There is an option to pay this season’s registration fee in 4 monthly installments. You will still have the ability to pay the full fee upfront if you wish. The accepted payment method is online by credit card. If you need to pay by an alternative method please contact [email protected] and arrangements can be made to accommodate that.
The following are the registration fees for the 2023-24 season:
U10-U21 - $725 (40 ice times)
U7-U9 - $685 (40 ice times)
Mytes - $500 (34 ice times)
A $50 late fee will be applied to anyone registering after September 10th, 2023.
**Players who are successful at making a Rep Team will pay additional fees once teams have been picked in September.
Hockey Canada has implemented an Opportunity Based Programming Model for U9 players for the 2023-24 season. Orillia Minor Hockey will offer a 20-week Skills/Power skating session at Rotary Place Tuesdays 430-520pm for Non-U9MD players if there is enough interest. This will be an additional cost. Please email [email protected] if you would be interested in signing your child up for these with the subject line – U9 Skills
Orillia Minor Hockey will offer U8 Select and/or U8 Extra skills if there is enough interest. Please email [email protected] if you would be interested with the subject line -- U8 Select/Skills
Returning members will see a $50 credit on their HCR account from last season that can be applied to this year’s registration. If you are not planning on returning to play with Orillia Minor Hockey, please email [email protected] to request this as a refund. It will be returned to the card that was used to pay the 2022-23 registration fee.
