Orillia Terriers Major Peewee A's tie both Bradford and Innisfil
In hockey action this past week, the Mid Ontario Disposal Major Peewee A Orillia Terriers faced off against the Bradford Bulldogs and the Innisfil Winterhawks during regular league play.
Both games were spirited battles that ended in a tie score of 3-3 and 5-5, respectfully. In the first match, Bradford played a strong defensive game, giving up few scoring chances, However, the Terriers were able to put three in the Bradford net on the strength of two goals by Devin Baxter and a single tally by Cole Rasmussen. Assists in the game went to Will Mullen, Nolan MacNeal and Meguire Naughton. In the second match in as many nights, the Terriers faced a strong Innisfil team. Although the Terriers built a 3-goal cushion, they fell into penalty trouble in the later stages of the game, resulting in a final score of 5-5. Leading the scoring charge for the Terriers was Naughton who scored a hat trick and Jesse Ashkewe who added the other two goals. Assisting on goals were Jack Marwick and Aiden Colebrook. Noteworthy efforts during the two games goes to Owen Vandusen and Isabela Fleguel who played well in both ends of the ice and pressured the opponent during every shift and also Coulter Taylor and Teddy McCollum-Kuntz for their strong play in net.
