Orillia Terriers Major Peewee A advance to the next round of playoffs
Faced with elimination, the Mid Ontario Disposal Orillia Terriers Peewee “A” team needed to win two games in a row against the Aurora Tigers to advance to the next round of the York-Simcoe Championships.

In the end, the Terriers pulled off an overtime win to force a game 5 and a chance to secure the series victory. In game four, the Terriers climbed back from a 2-0 deficit on the strength of goals by Cole Rasmussen and Meguire Naughton assisted by Carson Bussieres (2), Liam McDonald and Jack Marwick, to force an overtime period. Then with 1:43 left on the clock in the extra frame, Isabela Fleguel took a shot from the point which was redirected by McDonald straight onto the stick of Bussieres who shot the puck through the Aurora Tigers goalie, capturing the win and forcing a game five, winner-take-all scenario. The Terriers got off to a quick start in the fifth and deciding game, scoring 30 seconds into the game and never looking back. With tallies from Naughton (2g, 2a), Owen Vandusen (2g, 1a) and Will Mullen (1g, 3a), the Terriers won 5-2 to advance to the next round. This game was a true team effort with hard work by each player in the offensive and defensive zones.
