Orillia Terriers Major Peewee A's take 4 of 6 points over weekend
The Mid Ontario Disposal Orillia Terriers Major Peewee A team took on three division rivals over the weekend and came away with 4 out of a possible 6 points in the processes.
The Terriers first challenge was the Aurora Tigers. The Terriers were able to strike first in the match and never let up leading to a 6-1 victory. Scoring for the Terriers were Devin Baxter (2g, 1a), Jesse Ashkewe (2g) Meguire Naughton (1g), Kooper Tucci (1g, 1a), Owen Vandusen (1a), Will Mullen (1a) and Carson Bussieres (1a). The next night, the Terriers faced off against the league leading Nobleking Knights but came out on the wrong end of a 5-1 decision. The lone Terriers goal came from Mullen, assisted by Isabela Fleguel and Baxter. The Terriers bounced back in their next game and outskated, outshot and outchanced the Richmond Hill Stars by a final score of 5-1. Scoring for the Terriers were Naughton (1g, 1a), Liam MacDonald (1g), Bussieres (1g), Baxter (1g), Cole Rasmussen (1g, 1a), Aiden Colebrook (1a), Ashkewe (1a), Nolan MacNeal (1a), and Tucci (1a). The Terriers have two more matches before the Christmas holidays and hope to skate away with visions of red lights spinning in their heads.
