The Rama First Nation Minor Bantam Orillia A Terriers have rolled so far going undefeated in 11 straight.

The Rama First Nation Minor Bantam Orillia A Terriers have rolled so far this season going undefeated in 11 straight.  Orillia’s season started with a 5-0 win over the Markham Waxers.  Orillia’s offence was led by their captain Brock Jeffels potting 2g, Jakson Gerrard, Charlie Kearns and Sam Laughlin.  Sam Neely earned the shutout in net.  Orillia next battled King Rebellion in back to back games, winning the first contest 6-1 and the second game 3-2.  Orillia’s offence was led by Dawson Mattison, Whyatt Winkel, Andrew Thorn and Kaiden Robitaille in game 1.  Jackson Mitchell made some key saves to get the win.  In game 2, Jonah Teahan, Jeffels and W. Winkel led the way while Neely backstopped the Terriers to victory.  

Gerrard, Mason Burnett and Teahan powered the Terriers to their 4th win, a 4-1 against the Waxers.  Mitchell was solid between the pipes.  Orillia battled Bradford Bulldogs to a 2-1 when Laughlin hammered two big goals to earn the win.  Orillia then beat TNT 3-0 in a special teams affair, when Robitaille and Owenn Banks each scored breakaway short-handed goals and Nolan Inglis deposited a powerplay goal, while Quinn McConnell chipped in a pair of helpers.  Mitchell took the shutout to the showers.  

Team looking for 12th win...
Looking to keep their momentum, Orillia played their final regular season game against the Waxers.  Orillia hammered in quick goals from J. Winkel, Mattison and Inglis (2) and never looked back as they won 4-1.  Orillia squared off against in their final game vs King Rebellion next, winning the contest 5-0.  Orillia’s offence was led by Kearns with 2 goals, Thorn, Burnett and Banks.  Neely took another shutout to the locker room.  

This past week Orillia took on Newmarket Redmen, Bradford Bulldogs and finally Richmond Hill Stars.  In the Newmarket game, strong play by J. Winkel with 2 goals, Laughlin and Robitaille earned the Terriers a 4-1 victory.  Mitchell stood tall in net earning the win.  Teahan and Robitaille helped lift the Terriers past Bradford 2-0, Neely grabbed his third shutout of the season.  To win their 11th straight regular season game, Gerrard tallied two goals and added an assist, as McConnell and Inglis rounded up the offence in a 3-2 victory, while Mitchell down the stretch closed the door on Richmond Hill.

Dylan Arnold has been sidelined with an injury for the regular season thus far, but has been there cheering for his teammates along the way.  The Terriers look forward to having him back in their lineup.

Orillia hits the road Wednesday to take on the Innisfil Winterhawks looking to extend their streak.
